Ya’ll know I love a good pantry cooking challenge, where I look around my kitchen and make an effort to use up open packages of items, produce at it’s peak, and short-dated perishable items. Hopefully there is some inspiration or some ideas here for your household! I find that delaying my grocery trip in this manner saves us money, plus we’re being good stewards of the money we’ve already spent!

🥣 EASY, DELICIOUS, FAMILY FRIENDLY SOUPS // COZY WINTER RECIPES
These are all tried and true family recipes. These easy soups have been made in our house for years, and some of them come from family members’ recipe boxes!

Dad’s Chili (Original recipe…makes a TON…you’ve been warned!):
2lbs lean ground beef
2pkg smoked turkey sausage (minced in food processor)
2 cans pinto beans
2 cans red beans
2 cans kidney beans
2-3 cartons (32oz) Hunts tomato sauce (depending on how thick or soupy you like your chili)
2 heaping tablespoons chili powder
1tsp cumin
Brown ground beef until cooked completely. Combine all ingredients in a giant pot and simmer on low for 2-3 hours (or in crockpot).

If you’re looking for extraordinary, you’ve come to the wrong place. I’m just a regular ole’ gal in the middle of America, follower of Christ, wife to Daniel, and mom to three delightful children: Ruthie, McKenna, and Brick. In 2018, Daniel and I packed up our family and moved across the state to Tulsa. I decided to take a brief hiatus from my teaching career and start a YouTube channel as a new hobby and creative outlet. My “brief hiatus” became indefinite as the channel grew, and I knew where God was calling me: to make helpful content that is kind, positive, and realistic.
